Devcon, the global Ethereum conference for developers, researchers, thinkers, and makers, returns for its 7th edition. This year, the spotlight is on Southeast Asia—a region with an active, fast-growing Ethereum community and high crypto adoption.
Decentralizing, Tuk Tuk Style
Devcon 7: Southeast Asia (aka DC7 SEA) will take place in the dynamic city of Bangkok, Thailand. The Curvegrid team will be there all week long to take part in Devcon from November 11-15 and partner with ETHGlobal Bangkok from November 15-17.
With Devcon just two weeks away, we’ve been setting the (tuk tuk) wheels in motion, and we’re excited to announce some exciting developments.
New Features for ETHGlobal Hackers
ETHGlobal is a globally renowned Ethereum-focused hackathon, and we’ll be sponsoring up to $5,000 in prizes for hackers in Bangkok. This marks our fourth ETHGlobal sponsorship following successful events in Tokyo, Istanbul, and Scaling Ethereum.
The top 3 projects built on our middleware, MultiBaas, will be rewarded (prize details can be found here).
Here’s a clever strategy: Using MultiBaas can help you build projects faster and qualify for more ETHGlobal prizes, maximizing your chances of taking home a share of the total prize pool worth $750,000.
We’re also unveiling new features on MultiBaas to further support devs and hackers in bringing their best ideas to life:
Support for more chains: Integrate MultiBaas with more EVM-compatible networks, including chains that only support https.
Safe Wallet integration: Manage transactions and accounts securely, powered by Safe Wallet’s industry-leading multisig wallet solution available across 15+ networks.
Forge support: You can now upload Forge artifacts in addition to solc ABI and Hardhat JSON artifacts to add a smart contract to MultiBaas. We are also releasing a Forge library that allows you to deploy smart contracts directly with MultiBaas using Foundry Forge.
Add contracts by address: Input a smart contract’s address to directly add it to the MultiBaas contract library. This allows you to follow events and interact with the on-chain contract or deploy your own copy.
Additional cloud wallet support (coming soon): We recognize the importance of safeguarding cryptographic keys. We are currently expanding our support for custodial and admin wallet solutions by adding AWS KMS and GCP Cloud Key Management in addition to our already supported Azure Key Vault.
More resources for hackers: In addition to our comprehensive docs, workshops, and tutorial videos, a hacker guide will be available to ETHGlobal participants for easier onboarding to MultiBaas.
If you are attending ETHGlobal, we invite you to try our software and showcase your creativity. We’re eager to hear your feedback and can’t wait to see the innovative solutions you’ll build on MultiBaas!
Don’t forget—the application deadline for hacking at ETHGlobal Bangkok is November 1st. Apply here: https://ethglobal.com/events/bangkok/apply.
